Delivers hands-on training that allows for maximum transfer of knowledge while ensuring customer needs, service times, labor and transportation costs are met and within guidelines. Provides ongoing and timely feedback to assigned driver trainees and supervisory staff. Feedback includes positive reinforcement and constructive corrective actions. Understands and exhibits strong customer service skills. Works with new driver hires and experienced drivers in classroom and/or field settings to prepare them for a successful professional driver career. May supplement PFG Driver Training Manual with local programs specific to the location, products and reports used in that market. • Performs all route delivery duties per company guidelines and safety regulations including pre/post trip, inspection of load and freight, adherence to delivery windows, ensures accuracy of customer delivery, utilizes equipment as prescribed, collects cash/check if required, completes returns and driver-check in process and performs necessary housekeeping to ensure cleanliness of tractor and trailer. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.DragEditDelete Required SkillsAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of employment.DragEditDelete Required SkillsLicense: Current TN or Multi-State RN licensureDragEditDelete Minimum Work ExperienceSix months to one year experience as RN.
